Haste The Dawn

**Another old poem I dug up from the depths. I think this one is around 2010–2011, but yet again I’m not sure**

I watch the fog settle in
the damp chills my skin
and grips my heart
I watch it cling to the pods of light
that dot the street.
And I’m waiting for daybreak
They say its always darkest before the dawn
That soon the sun will rise
The day will chase the fog away
But I’m standing alone on this street corner
The night has come,
Where fog obscures what is already dim
Don’t leave me waiting for daybreak
Don’t abandon me to the night
Chase the night away
I’m waiting for the break of day
