Poetic Braindump

Something’s wrong
My mind’s uneasy
My fumbling fingers can’t find the light
Heavy heart, and darkest thoughts
Cloud my mind tonight
The gloom clings to me like
Saturated cloth
Dreams of war
Dreams that lie
And I dream of lies to pass the time
And escape reality
Dreams of dragons
Consuming flames
Of things that rustle in the dark
Rattling bones that breed at night
Sleeping with one eye open,
If sleep it can be named,
Grasping pillow in clammy hands
Beneath the armor
Of my sheets
